Join the growing movement of repurposing plastic waste into cool stuff! In this workshop, you'll learn which types of plastic are best in DIY applications and how basic kitchen appliances, like a panini press or a toaster oven, can be used to create recycled plastic pieces. Explore different techniques to achieve various shapes, finishes, and textures while learning the properties and behavior of melted plastic as a great material for art and craft. You'll leave with unique, handmade items like keychains, pins, magnets, or earrings, and creative inspiration for further exploration of plasticsmithing! All materials provided, but bring some clean bottle caps if you can.
